What if...I'm left unsupervised in a thrift store...

Yes, I may have implied agreement when my dear husband suggested that I pause on the buying of the stuff for my room and yes, I may have actually agreed because I have several projects to keep me busy in the meantime...however, I swear I had a good reason to stop at Goodwill today. It all started when I decided on a new project to start this weekend and I was thinking about how I need a teapot that looks like a house. I don't want to give it away but when it's done, you're going to LOVE it!

Anyways, I'm thinking I have surely seen something like this... google...google...google, yes! And, look! There's an artist that makes these cute novelty teapots named Jim Baileys [the artist is named Jim, not the teapots....not sure why I felt the need to clarify that]. Check them out!

Hey...don't those look a little like those funky teapots from my last post? Here's a reminder:

Wow! Jim's teapots are going for $42 a piece! Maybe I should rescue them from Goodwill...I should at least check. There could be a collector out there who would love to have them! So that is why I had to stop today on my way home. It was a good reason, right?? They were gone. BUT I couldn't waste a perfecrly good Goodwill stop...When in Rome, amIright? Check out this rockin' chair I got! [Not to be confused with a 'rocking chair'. Whole other thing.]

Ok, call me crazy, but doesn't it look a little sad? Not like, "pathetic". Like, actually sad? Seriously, my poor chair is frowning. I got him a little toss pillow to cheer him up. He definitely needs a makeover and I'm not 100% sure which direction I plan to go with it but it's going to be fun! I don't plan to go as detailed as my desk chair but it will definitely receive a healthy dose of whimsy! Suggestions welcome! Finally, I made a decoupage mess of my kitchen table tonight...but what else is new?

Anyhoo...I'm off to bed.  Send my chair happy thoughts. Goodnight!
